The Royal Ascot meeting will take place from the 16th of June until the 20th of June. Hundreds of horses will compete in dozens of races over the five days, with millions of pounds in prize money on offer. Taking place at the historic Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, the meeting is a highlight of the British summer social calendar and attracts royalty and racing enthusiasts alike.

The Gold Cup, the oldest and most prestigious race at Royal Ascot, takes place on the Thursday. A 2-mile long track provides a tough test for ‘stayers’. Trawlerman took the glory at last year’s Gold Cup race, will he keep his crown or be pipped to the post?

Of course, it's not just about the Gold Cup. The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes has the biggest prizepot of the festival, with £1,000,000 in prize money last year. With such high stakes, you won't want to miss out on this dramatic race. Which horse will take home the winnings for its stable this year?

Betting on the Races

No matter which race you are interested in, bet365 will have you covered with bets being offered on many of the races at Royal Ascot.

Need help? Follow our step-by-step guide on how to place a bet on your Royal Ascot favourites here.

Bet Settlement

We will aim to settle all bets within an hour of an event finishing. For In-Play markets, we will aim to settle bets as soon as the market is determined.

Previous Performance

If you want to see how each contender has previously performed before making your selections, bet365 has the important insights you need to help with your decision making.

Pick the race you’re interested in and select the Racecard. The Racecard contains the going and distance of the race, information on all the runners, and details on who the favourites are.

You can then click on the name of any horse to find more information on their recent results and watch their previous races. You can also read the Spotlight verdict for each horse, which gives you an overview of their form and potential chances.

Antepost

Antepost betting lets you bet on the winner of races before the racecourse markets open. Antepost markets open days, weeks or even months in advance of the event. This means that you can bet on the winner of a race far in advance, but bear in mind that antepost odds and odds offered on the day of the race can differ significantly.

Horse racing can be unpredictable and it is not uncommon for competitors to drop out before the race. However, if you have made an antepost bet on a horse which has withdrawn, you may be protected by our Non Runner No Bet policy.

Non-Runner No Bet

Once a race becomes Non-Runner No Bet (NRNB), any bets placed on the Win or Each Way market after this point will be refunded if your selection does not run. In multiple bets if a selection does not run, that part of the bet will be deemed a non-runner.

For example, in a Treble, if one selection is a non-runner, the bet becomes a Double.

If you've placed a bet on our NRNB market, you'll see the race name followed by NRNB on your betslip. Bets placed after final declarations are automatically covered by NRNB.

My horse hasn't finished the race

If your horse starts but doesn't finish the race your bet will be settled as a loss.

Take advantage of Position Payout

Position Payout is a fixed odds market, which gives you the option to place a bet on your horse to finish within a range of positions. This is different from traditional Each-Way betting, which pays a fraction of the Win odds for placed selections. With Position Payout, you’ll know your potential winnings before the event even starts.

Where Position Payout is available, each selection displays a return for finishing in designated positions e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

Position Payout is available on both singles and multiples. In the event of a dead-heat, Position Payout bets will be paid out for the higher place. For example, if your selection Dead Heats for second place, you will get the full payout for finishing second place, rather than a smaller amount like you would with Each-Way betting.

Watch out for Position Payout every day of Royal Ascot, from 10:00 AM.

Rule 4

If another participant other than your selection withdraws from an event, your bet may be subject to a Rule 4 deduction.

The Rule 4 deduction is an industry standard where a deduction is applied for every £1.00 of your winnings. When odds are offered on an event, they are based on all participants taking part. When a participant withdraws from an event a Rule 4 deduction is applied to all bets placed before this point, to reflect the reduced number of participants running.

More info on Rule 4 can be seen here.
